Adopt a Torbie / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed

Flower was adopted and returned to STH. She was found to have seizures. When she came back to STH she was on daily meds to reduce the number of seizures that she was having. Since coming back to STH she has had a change of diet grain free food and she was removed from her daily meds.

Since a food change and several visits to a vet to monitor her condition she has been much better. In the last year she has only had two episodes, which is what the vet is now calling it, where she will stare off into space and salivate and kneed. She is also a mower, when she is having a bad day she will over groom herself and has managed to lick herself raw on many occasions. The next paragraph will explain how I managed to get her to stop mowing and calm her so she can enjoy being a cat!

In the last 6 months I have started using some essential oils on her and my personal feline. This has had a real calming effect on Flower. She doesn't love it like my cat does but I believe that it has helped her get along with the other felines and dogs in the house. These oils for a large bottle run $37 and will last a long long time 6 drops a treatment. I started her out giving every day then every other to now we get oils once a week. It's messaged along the back so it will absorb or be licked off. She is a much better feline with these changes.

Flower is particular on the lovin she receives from her human. She is an on her terms girl and loves to have her head and neck scratched. She is a social cat and loves to hang out with the family. When I have company if she seeks there attention I always remind them to use caution and if you don't like cats that may use her teeth that they should just ignore Flower, it's just easier that way.
